An oasis of calm near the bustling town of Los Llanos – centrally located to all major excursion destinations – and the black sand beaches of the west coast.

Here it is, the Gran Villa Palmera, bordered by large palm trees, ancient trees and a spacious garden. It offers absolute seclusion and a rural atmosphere while being in close proximity to the centre of Los Llanos. It is only a 15-minute walk to the beautifully located Gran Plaza with its old church and many cafés and shops. The villa offers direct views of the already extinct volcano and the lava field, which extends to the Atlantic Ocean.

Los Pedregales is considered the best “corner” in the Aridane valley, as it is sunny and sheltered from the wind all year round. It has long been forbidden to build in this area. The beautiful colonial-style villa was built in the 1980s as “Villa Los Pedregales” by an art-loving Palmero on this site.

Top equipment, ecological with style & contemporary art

The villa, which was extensively renovated in 2021/22, resembles an old colonial building and is very spacious. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fireplace room, a lounge/workroom and an eat-in kitchen with dining area. The impressively high ceilings give the rooms a stately feel. It is contrasted by warm herringbone parquet flooring, an extensive photo gallery and contemporary art. The furnishings are a skilful mix of design classics and old Palmerian style elements. At the same time, the villa offers the highest technical standard.

Not only the beautiful terrace invites you to retreat for lunch, but also the charming pergola (which can also be used as a yoga room and sports park) or the daybed in the semi-shade under the pink pepper tree. The outdoor space is complemented by a newly landscaped bocce court.

The elegant swimming pool can be optionally heated and has a counter current system for sports use.

Various sports equipment such as yoga mats, elastic bands, hula hoops and a rowing machine are available for the gym.

Gran Villa Palmera is well connected to the road network and is the ideal starting point to explore Isla Bonita.

Wi-Fi is amplified throughout the house, including in the outdoor area. This includes the pool, the pergola, as well as the back part of the daybed garden.

The light-rich villa (it has 26 skylights alone!) is designed so that the entrance hall acts as an almost cathedral-like hall. The bedrooms lead to the left, to the back of the house, while the lounges, each with their own access to the terrace, are at the front. This makes for plenty of tranquillity in the bedrooms, even for larger groups.

The style of the furnishings is based on high-quality design classics, such as Charles Eames, Mies van der Rohe or Eileen Grey, and these are expertly combined with Palmerian furniture. Some beautiful old furniture has been refurbished and given a new purpose: the former kitchen buffet now stands in the bathroom as an extravagant sink combined with Italian Marazzi tiles. The two bathrooms are individually designed and equipped with high-quality sanitary ware and underfloor heating.

The colourful focal point of the house is the bright kitchen with its integrated dining area – it has direct access to both the pool and the terrace. Equipped with high-quality appliances, a variety of kitchen utensils and plenty of art objects to admire in the background, it invites you to feast and linger with family and friends. The large table (Danish design from the 1960´s) easily seats 8 people.

The bedrooms are furnished with double beds, individually furnished and lovingly decorated with pictures and artefacts.

Garden, pool and palm trees: memories of old Palm Springs movies inevitably come to mind.  But there is more to the garden than meets the eye.

The upper part is decorated with cypress, the typical Canary Franchipani and lots of blooming flowers. A little further back – a little hidden – is the daybed next to a mighty pink pepper tree with a direct view of the next art object: the black palm tree.

While in the upper part, around the swimming pool, life goes on, the lower, natural part of the garden enchants with tranquillity, some shady spots under old trees. The garden contains many fruit trees, such as pomegranate, avocado, figs and, of course, many medlar trees.

Medlar/Nisperos: The flavour is refreshingly sweet and sour. Remove the thin skin and seeds.

Quiet location and close to town!

The owners attach great importance to sustainability and environmental protection.

The Aridane valley is sunny, and they take advantage of this fact to make their house climate-neutral for guests. On the roof there are 18 photovoltaic fields and a solar element for hot water, this equipment allows the owners to be very independent. Should it ever be very cloudy, a reliable back-up system ensures that there are no restrictions in power supply.

Moreover, they will soon make available an electric car charger (electric rental cars are available at Monta-at a discount for our guests).

Besides financial savings, this creates a particularly green footprint for guests.

The owners will supply the remaining clean electricity to the local grid, making the diesel power plant redundant in the future.

An osmosis drinking water filtration system in the kitchen helps avoid water from plastic bottles and the associated waste. The waste system in the kitchen enables accurate waste separation.

When it comes to cleaning agents and used products, they largely opt for eco-friendly products.

Our high-quality bedding and towels are made of organic cotton and Fairtrade produced.

Payment terms: 50% payable immediately after booking, remaining 50% 10 days before arrival.

Deposit €800, this will be returned 5 days after departure.

Cancellation: 50% of the deposit paid will be refunded if cancelled in writing 30 days before arrival or earlier. No refunds will be made for later cancellations.
